Where adventure and creativity come together for the common good

With a keen sense of adventure and notion for whimsical happenings, you are invited to Merrytime Adventure, a scavenger hunt around town that is sure to delight you and your children. Presented by Scituate Community Christmas, the Merrytime Adventure is inspired by artisans and local businesses with the goal of engaging our youngest community members and families in some Holiday fun. This Adventure can be done at your leisure from December 1-24. All proceeds from this initiative will support the year-round giving mission of Scituate Community Christmas.

How Merrytime Adventure Works:

  • For $25 participants can purchase a keepsake tote designed by Peggotty Prints and Dear Rose Studio. Inside the tote, participants will find their Merrytime Adventure Passport.

  • Totes can be purchased from the Scituate Community Christmas website (with local pick up, no shipping), at the Susan Phippen House during open hours, at Hennessey’s in Scituate Harbor or at Staci’s Stitches in North Scituate.

  • Parents and children use the Passport to identify local businesses where they can “hunt” for the Scituate Community Christmas block logo (by Rustic Marlin).

  • Once children find the block, they will obtain a stamp on their Passport from the merchant.

  • The Passport includes various locations that will also encourage families to bring a donation.

    • Examples of inspiring the giving spirit include: bring new hats and mittens to the Scituate Library Giving Tree, bring a toy to the Public Safety Center, bring a canned good to a Scituate Food Pantry donation bin, etc.

  • Along your hunt, you’ll encounter some fun art installations perfect for capturing holiday photos.

  • Participants will be giving back to the community, supporting local businesses and also creating some fun family memories.
