SANDS provides infrastructure to support the collaboration of community resources in the event of a community crisis. We can offer financial resources for programs and groups that focus efforts on preparedness, response and recovery. SANDS provides immediate assistance by identifying needs, communicating to the community, and then allocating resources.

Our sincere gratitude to Scituate’s brave first responders for their swift action last Friday afternoon to put out a horrific house fire in Sand Hills. We appreciate their dedication to protecting our beloved community.

As a result of the fire, a local family now finds themselves homeless, devastated by the loss of their home and nearly all their belongings. Thank you to our dedicated SANDS committee for providing immediate support and resources – from cozy pajamas and slippers to gift cards for food and essentials – to help ease the burden the family faces at this difficult time.

To help support SANDS and SCC, please consider donating emergency supplies found on our Amazon wishlist above. SANDS could also use Ocean State Job Lot gift cards. Having essentials like clothing and toiletries readily on hand ensure, we can respond swiftly in the moment of crisis.

We could not do this important work without your continued generosity and support. Thank you for being part of our story and supporting those friends and neighbors facing hardship.
