our impact

2023 was an unprecedented year of giving as we extended our direct assistance program to not only those who live in Scituate, but any student who attends Scituate public schools and those that work in our community.  We could not have done this important work without the continued generosity of YOU - our friends and neighbors who continue to give back and support our mission.

  • Central to our mission, our year-round Direct Assistance program is open to Scituate residents, those who work within the town of Scituate, and students at Scituate Public Schools and their families who may need assistance during times of hardship. Applications are available online and all information is kept strictly confidential. APPLY HERE

  • The Big Give is our signature program and foundational to our mission. To quote SCC founder Susan Phippen, The Big Give ensures that “each child has something to open on Christmas morning.” In her honor, for more than three decades, we’ve helped ensure thousands of children experience the magic of whatever holiday their family celebrates. This would not be possible without the ongoing generosity and support of our beloved community. READ MORE HERE

  • Our Community Impact programs support dedicated groups of local residents - from veterans to first responders, teachers to the elderly - and serves as a reminder of our collective gratitude for their service, dedication to our community and/or remind them they are not alone. These programs are successful as a result of many volunteers, Neighborhood Ambassadors, in-kind donations from individuals and businesses, plus the financial support from our donors and grants awarded.
