Since 1989, Scituate Community Christmas has served thousands needing assistance. Our focus includes individuals, families, children under the age of 18, the disabled, and elderly without family in the area. In 2015, we expanded our outreach to provide year round giving within the Scituate community. We collaborate with Council on Aging, Police and Fire officials, Schools, local clergy, and Scituate’s Manager of Social Services to identify unfulfilled individual and community needs.

Scituate Mariner

Scituate Community Christmas was founded in 1989 by Susan Phippen to help provide services and new Christmas gifts for Scituate families faced with economic hardship and other circumstances. Originally, Phippen helped a small number of families on her own. She wanted every child to have something to open on Christmas morning. Through the years, SCC has served thousands of families needing assistance.
