Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your support of the Big Give last month. Because of your generosity, we helped make the season a little brighter for 94 families and 210 children. As a completely volunteer run organization, none of this would be possible without our hard working board members, neighborhood ambassadors, friends and neighbors who ensure we can continue to fulfill the vision of our founder Susan Phippen.
As a reminder, Scituate Community Christmas provides assistance not only at Christmas, but 365 days a year through our direct assistance programming. We couldn’t do it without you, our generous community of donors and volunteers! Some ways in which we helped last month include:
Provided acts of kindness for a mom who suffered the loss of her child and two wives who lost their husbands;
Covered rent payment for a married couple both suffering medical issues;
Assisted with medical care needs for a single mom with two children;
Provided household essentials for two struggling elderly couples;
Purchased clothing for a foster child;
Assisted a small business owner after a devastating fire;
Purchased appliances for a new housing resident;
Provided essentials for ten U.S. veterans.
Your support is making a significant difference in the lives of these community members.
To help support SANDS and SCC, please consider donating emergency supplies found on our Amazon wishlist. Having essentials like clothing and toiletries readily on hand ensures we can respond swiftly in the moment of crisis.
We could not do this important work without your continued generosity and support. Thank you for being part of our story and supporting those friends and neighbors facing hardship.
